Lindia's 18th Empty Lindia's 18th

The cool breeze of the San Francisco bay flowed from the cold pacific waters over the hot Californian land, through Richmond, San Jose, and Oakland.the cities themselves were alive with mortals, densely compacted into the waterfront territory, of all races and religions as they attended their daily needs and wants. However, Lindia Inetia knew there only to be one religion, the religion of the roman legion to which she had sworn her life to fight for a few years ago. The young girl, now an official woman walked along the cobblestone streets of the city, walking to the expansive structure of the aqueduct, it's marble supports holding up the everlasting supply of water into the brilliant city where one day she had hoped to reside with her girlfriend, Laure.

They had been dating for nearly ten months now, ten months since last Christmas when they had officially began their exciting and brilliant relationship, all hidden in the shadows of secrecy. Lindia had always considered herself to be more lesbian than Laure, which was obvious in the way they dated the opposite gender to throw off anyone of suspicion and more importantly, Octavius. Both the young women feared what the tyrant would do if he learned about the relationship.

However, today was not a day of fear for the dirty blonde Canadian, she was becoming a woman, she was turning eighteen. Although she had normally hated her birthdays, she knew that this one would be much better, simply because unlike he childhood, now she had people to spend it with, well, one person. Her normally messy hair had actually been pulled back, brushed and cleaned of all of her hair dye, showing the original shading of her smooth hair, flowing down her back, let loose into the wind. Her blue eyes sparkled in the early morning, like the sky high above her, for once they were not clouded with deadly emotions, fear, or anger. Her eyes didn't show any sign of an oncoming curse attack either, she had been a good girl and taken her medicine, absolutely nothing would mess this day up for her.

The breeze was softly rustling the leaves in the trees along the paths, tall marble buildings raising up on either side of the road with red tiled roofs, all build in the ancient roman style of architecture. Lindia could smell the fresh bread from the bakery, but that's not what she smelled like, no, she was wearing a special perfume, it was in fact the same perfume that Laure had given her on Christmas, and although she couldn't remember the name she knew to save it for special occasions, and this occasion was special.

As she reached the hidden spot under the aqueduct that she and her girlfriend had snuck many a kisses, she moved her pale hand to her belt and felt her weapon, a imperial golden sword cleverly disguised as a keychain. The daughter of trivia let loose a sigh as she leaned against the cold marble and looked out over the city and the camp outside it.

"Laure, mon amour, où es-tu?

She said simply, barely above a whisper as her brilliant eyes scanned the buildings, roads, trees, taking everything and anything in, being observant in case an ex-boyfriend of hers would come along.

She was dressed nicely, her normal black leather combat boots studded with shiny chains, dark jeans that had been torn up in one of the knees and bloodstains on the other part of the worn denim. Her simple top, hung loose on one shoulder, exposing the pale skin to the world, as well as a scar from her past. The cotton fabric was very comfortable, it's red and blue colors stretched across the black fabric, in a strange but alluring affect. Idle chatter of the residents of new Rome began to diminish as the light in the sky grew ever brighter. soon Lindia thought, smiling as she watched for her beloved.

Laure was dressed in a beautiful pair of pale JQ jeans that fit her legs perfectly, retracing their shape; a red cashmere shirt covered the upper part of her body while a delicate yellow gauze shawl was wrapped around her swan neck. Her blonde hair was made into ringlets and decorated with discreet jewels that combined gold and rubies, in the fashion of the patrician girls.
Lindia was leaning against a building, looking like a statue carved to the wall if there hadn't been her wheat-blonde hair shining dimly in the sunlight.
Laure carried a present with her, wrapped in a wine-red box with a yellow silk ribbon around it. She walked up to Lindia and didn't even give her the time to recognize her before kissing her fiercely.

Lindia would have struggled and screamed if she hasn't instantly recognized the French girls succulent kiss, admiring how fierce it was, which Lindia always enjoyed greatly. She kissed the love of her life back for a few seconds, knowing that they were alone before parting the touch of their lips and smiling. "Laure!" She exclaimed and wrapped her arms around her.

She was very happy to see her, and wondered what could possibly be in the box that Laure had under her arm, elegantly wrapped as well. Lindia thought Laure would never stop surprising the daughter of trivia.
